| Reverse description | A stag standing or striding to the right, depicted in profile in the provincial artistic tradition, occupying the central field of the flan. The animal's antlers are rendered with simple but recognizable detail, characteristic of Mylasan civic coinage. The ethnic legend ΜΥΛΑϹΕΩΝ is distributed around the periphery of the reverse field. The stag was a sacred animal associated with Artemis, a principal deity venerated at Mylasa and its surroundings. A dotted border is partially visible along the inner edge of the flan. |
