Reverse description Standing figure of Opet, the hippopotamus goddess of Thebes, depicted facing with head turned to the left, holding a long reed or papyrus sceptre in her left hand. To her right appears Harpocrates, the child form of Horus, with the lower body of a crocodile, oriented to the left. The reverse reflects the syncretistic religious iconography characteristic of Alexandrian nome coinage, associating local Egyptian deities with Roman imperial imagery. The nome designation and regnal year appear in the field as the reverse legend.
