| Obverse description | Laureate, draped bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, wearing paludamentum over the left shoulder. The portrait exhibits the characteristic curled beard and hair typical of Hadrianic portraiture. The Latin legend curves around the periphery of the flan, reading IMP CAE TRAI-ANV HADR AV, identifying the emperor by his full titulature. The effigy is rendered in the competent provincial style characteristic of the Corinthian colonial mint. |
