Obverse description Facing bust of a deity, possibly Tyche or Persephone, rendered in low relief with a broad, stylized treatment characteristic of Sicilian municipal bronze coinage of the late Republican period. The figure appears draped, with the head shown frontally, displaying worn but discernible facial features. A tall polos or modius headdress surmounts the head, flanked by what appear to be grain ears or vegetal ornaments. The surrounding field bears traces of the magistrate legend C IVLIVS C F LONGVS IIVIR distributed around the periphery. The flan is irregular and the surfaces exhibit a dark green patina consistent with prolonged burial.
