| Reverse description | The dominant type features the large senatorial abbreviation S•C (Senatus Consulto) flanking a standing eagle displayed with wings spread, facing front with head turned. Above the eagle, a star and the Greek letters Δ-Ε appear in the upper field. The entire composition is enclosed within a laurel wreath, the whole set within a beaded border. This distinctive Antiochene civic bronze type, combining Latin senatorial authority with local Greek and civic symbolism, is characteristic of the Syrian provincial coinage of this reign. |
