| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Elagabalus facing right, seen from the rear, rendered in the provincial style typical of Transjordanian civic coinage. The effigy displays a radiate laurel wreath and layered military dress, with the paludamentum visible at the shoulder. A circular beaded border frames the design, enclosing the partially legible Greek and Latin mixed legend around the periphery. The portrait is modelled in moderately high relief consistent with local Decapolis-area workshop production. |
