Obverse description Laureate head of Emperor Domitian facing right, rendered in the provincial Egyptian style characteristic of Alexandrian coinage. The effigy displays the emperor's laureate wreath in bold relief against the flat field. The surrounding Greek legend reads ΑΥΤΟΚ ΚΑΙΣΑΡ ΔΟΜΙΤΙΑΝΟΣ ΣΕΒ, identifying him as Emperor Caesar Domitian Augustus. The flan is irregular and the die work reflects the typical execution of the Alexandrian mint during the Flavian period.
