Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Antoninus Pius facing right, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Bithynian civic coinage. The emperor's portrait shows his mature bearded effigy with a wreath of laurel atop the head. The Greek imperial titulature legend surrounds the bust along the periphery of the flan. The die work reflects the competent but somewhat rustic engraving typical of Nicomedian mint production under the Antonine dynasty.
