| Reverse description | Athena depicted in dynamic advancing stride to the right, clad in chiton and aegis, her right arm raised and brandishing a spear overhead, her left arm extended carrying a round shield. The figure reflects the standard Athena Promachos type common to civic bronzes of Asia Minor under the Antonines. The reverse legend, disposed in the field, records the name of the local magistrate Leonidas under whose authority the issue was struck. The coin surface is heavily worn with granular patination obscuring fine detail. |
