| Obverse description | Draped and cuirassed bust of Marcus Aurelius (as Caesar or co-emperor) facing right, bare-headed, with paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The effigy displays the emperor's characteristic youthful curled hair rendered in low relief. A partially legible Latin legend encircles the bust in the field, the surface showing considerable wear and patination consistent with extended circulation. |
