| Obverse description | Draped bust of the youthful Dionysus facing right, head adorned with an ivy wreath, the curling locks of hair rendered in typical Hellenistic style. The bust is set within a circular field with the magistrate legend ΕΠΙ ΔΑΡΙΟΥ disposed around the periphery. The portrait is modelled in a soft, idealized manner consistent with provincial bronze coinage of the Antonine period. |
