| Obverse description | Draped bust of Faustina II facing right, her hair elaborately coifed in the Antonine fashion and gathered at the nape. The effigy is rendered in low relief with a beaded border surrounding the field. The Greek legend ΦΑΥϹΤΕΙ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΗ encircles the portrait, identifying her as Augusta. The flan exhibits a characteristic crack running through the upper portion of the die, consistent with the irregular fabric typical of provincial bronze coinage of Asia Minor. |
