Reverse description The Altar of the Three Gauls at Lugdunum depicted in frontal elevation, its facade adorned with a corona civica flanked by nude male figures in relief on each side. Atop tall columns flanking the altar stand winged Victory figures, each holding a wreath. The altar's architectural detail is rendered with considerable precision, reflecting the monument's importance as a center of the Imperial cult in Gaul. The abbreviated reverse legend appears in two lines across the upper field.
