| Reverse description | Hygieia, goddess of health, depicted standing to the right and clad in a long chiton and peplos. She extends a patera in her right hand toward a serpent coiled before her, which raises its head to feed from the dish — a standard iconographic type for Hygieia on Greek imperial provincial coinage. The composition is rendered within a plain field, with the civic ethnic legend inscribed around the design. The strike is somewhat flat, characteristic of Phrygian bronze issues of this period. |
