Reverse description Zeus enthroned left upon a high-backed throne, his body draped in himation from the waist down; he extends his right hand forward presenting a small eagle, while his left hand rests upon a tall upright sceptre. The figure is rendered in a stately, classical manner consistent with the civic coinage of Heraclea Pontica under the early Neronian proconsulship. The encircling legend naming the proconsul Attius Lakon runs around the periphery of the reverse field.
