Obverse description Draped bust of Faustina II facing right, her hair elaborately dressed and gathered at the nape in the characteristic Antonine fashion. The effigy is rendered in moderate relief, with the drapery visible at the shoulder. The peripheral Greek legend ΦΑΥϹΤΕΙΝΑ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΗ ('Faustina Augusta') runs around the bust, partially legible due to wear and irregular flan edges.
