Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of the Demos, portrayed as a youthful male effigy, facing right. The hair is rendered with curling locks beneath the laurel wreath, and traces of drapery are visible at the truncation. The Greek legend ΔΗΜΟϹ is partially visible in the field, identifying the personification of the civic populace of Saitta. The portrait exhibits the idealised Hellenistic artistic conventions typical of Lydian civic bronzes of the Antonine period.
