| Obverse description | Draped bust of Empress Sabina facing right, her hair elaborately coiffed and bound, depicted in the provincial Greek style typical of the Hadrianic period. The legend ϹΑΒΕΙΝΑ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΗ (Sabina Augusta) runs around the periphery in Greek characters. The portrait displays fine drapery at the shoulder and conveys the idealized imperial effigy characteristic of Asia Minor civic coinage. |
