Obverse description Laureate head of the emperor Domitian facing right, rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of the Conventus of Pergamum. The portrait displays the characteristic features of Flavian imperial iconography, with the laurel wreath encircling the head as a symbol of imperial authority. The Greek legend encircles the effigy, running around the periphery of the flan. The flan is irregular and shows typical hammered fabric with areas of surface corrosion consistent with prolonged burial.
