| Obverse description | Bare laureate head of Emperor Claudius facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Phrygian civic coinage of the mid-first century AD. The portrait displays the characteristic features of Claudius, with a thick laurel wreath crowning the head. The encircling Greek legend appears in the field surrounding the imperial effigy. The flan is irregular, consistent with hand-struck provincial bronzes of the period. |
