| Obverse description | Draped bust of Apollo facing right, rendered in the provincial Greek style characteristic of Phrygian civic coinage of the Claudian period. The hair is depicted with carefully incised locks, and the bust shows drapery over the left shoulder. On some specimens a laurel branch appears in the field before the face. The encircling Greek legend of the magistrate and city ethnic runs around the periphery of the flan. |
