Reverse description Hygieia, goddess of health, stands facing with head turned to the right, rendered in full figure in long, draped garments. She extends a patera in her right hand from which she feeds a large serpent coiling upward before her, while her left arm is lowered at her side. The composition is typical of the Asiatic provincial coinage of the Severan period, with the encircling Greek legend identifying the issuing city and its neocorate status occupying the field around the figure.
