Obverse description Bare head of Augustus facing right, rendered in the idealized Hellenistic portrait style typical of early imperial provincial coinage. A lituus (augural staff) appears before the portrait in the left field, referencing Augustus's religious authority as augur. The Greek legend ϹΕΒΑϹΤΟϹ runs along the periphery of the flan. The flan is irregular in shape, as characteristic of hammered provincial bronzes of this period.

Reverse description An eagle stands facing right, wings slightly raised, grasping a caduceus in its talons and perched upon an uncertain object, possibly an altar or cippus. The eagle, a symbol of imperial power and of Zeus, is rendered in a bold, deeply struck style. The two-line Greek legend ΚΑΛΛΙΠΠΟϹ ΑΜΟΡΙΑΝΩΝ is disposed in the fields to the left and right of the eagle, identifying the local magistrate Kallippos and the civic community of Amorium.
