| Obverse description | Bare head of the emperor Augustus facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic provincial style with finely detailed hair. The effigy is depicted without laurel wreath or diadem, emphasizing the early Augustan iconographic convention of restrained imagery. The Greek legend ΣΕΒΑΣΤΟΣ (Sebastos, the Greek equivalent of Augustus) appears in the field, identifying the portrait.
