| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Antoninus Pius facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Bithynian civic coinage. The emperor's portrait displays characteristic features of his mature reign, with a laurel wreath encircling the head and light drapery visible at the shoulder. The encircling Greek legend runs along the rim of the flan. The portrait is modelled in moderate relief, consistent with the artistic conventions of Asia Minor provincial bronzes of the mid-second century AD. |
