| Obverse description | Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Trajan Decius facing right, depicted from the rear, with the paludamentum visible over the shoulder. The imperial effigy is rendered in the typical provincial style of the mid-third century AD. The encircling Greek legend identifies the emperor by his imperial titulature, distributed around the periphery of the flan. |
