Additional information

Bargasa was a small Carian settlement whose civic coinage is sparse enough that even major collections rarely hold more than a handful of types. The city struck under Roman provincial authority during Trajan's reign, a period when the Conventus of Alabanda administered justice and, indirectly, legitimized local bronze issues across the region. Bargasa's output was almost certainly tied to local market needs rather than any broader monetary program.

RPC III #2237 records very few specimens, making die study effectively impossible at current sample sizes.
