Reverse description Zeus standing left in full figure, draped, holding an eagle perched on his extended right hand and a long sceptre in his left hand. The deity is depicted in the conventional Hellenistic civic tradition common to Phrygian bronzes of the imperial period. The circular Greek legend ΔΙΟΝΥΣΟΠΟΛΕΙΤΩΝ, meaning 'of the Dionysopolitans', runs around the periphery of the flan, identifying the issuing city. The coin is struck on a somewhat irregular flan with characteristic provincial workmanship.
