| Obverse description | Bare head of the young Caesar Geta facing right, rendered in the provincial Greek style with cursory but recognizable portraiture. The legend surrounds the effigy in Greek characters, reading Λ ϹΕ ΓΕΤΑϹ Κ, identifying the subject as Lucius Septimius Geta in his capacity as Caesar. The flan is irregular and slightly off-center, as is typical of Bithynian civic bronze coinage of the Severan period. |
