Obverse description Laureate head of Emperor Septimius Severus facing right, rendered in the typical provincial style of the Pergamene conventus. The laureate wreath is visible across the top of the head, with facial features rendered in low relief. The surrounding Greek legend names the emperor in the nominative. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show characteristic patination consistent with provincial bronze coinage of the Severan period.
