| Obverse description | Bare-headed, laureate bust of the Demos facing right, with light drapery visible on the left shoulder. The portrait is rendered in the provincial style characteristic of the Lydian mint at Maeonia, with curling hair secured by a laurel wreath. The legend ΔΗΜΟϹ appears in the field, identifying the personification of the civic populace. The flan is slightly irregular, as typical of small provincial bronze issues of the Severan period. |
