Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Caracalla facing right, depicted from behind, revealing the rear of the cuirass with muscular detailing. The imperial portrait is rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of the Ephesian conventus. The encircling Greek legend names the emperor in the nominative as Marcus Aurelius Antoninus, distributed around the field.
