| Obverse description | Draped bust of Empress Sabina facing right, her hair elaborately arranged and falling in a long plait down the neck, as was characteristic of her official portraiture. The effigy is rendered in the provincial style typical of Lydian civic coinage of the Hadrianic period. The legend ϹΑΒΙΝΑ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΗ appears in the field around the bust, identifying the empress with her imperial title Augusta. |
