| Obverse description | Bare-headed and bearded bust of Commodus facing right, with characteristic curly hair rendered in fine detail. The portrait displays the emperor's youthful features in the provincial style typical of Bithynian civic coinage. The Greek imperial titulature legend runs clockwise around the periphery of the flan, partially visible along the right side. The flan is enclosed by a dotted border. The overall style reflects the competent engraving traditions of the Nicaean mint during the late Antonine period. |
