Reverse description A triumphal arch with three bays is depicted, its central arch taller than the flanking ones, surmounted by the standing figure of Helios driving a quadriga to the right. The god is shown in dynamic posture within the chariot, evoking solar imagery befitting a colonial Corinthian type. The architectural rendering of the gate is rendered in the flat, schematic style characteristic of provincial Achaean bronze coinage. The colonial legend appears in the field, identifying the issuing authority of the Roman colony.
