| Obverse description | Bare head of the emperor Caligula (Gaius Caesar) facing right, rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Thracian civic coinage. The portrait is unadorned, without laurel wreath or diadem. The Greek legend ΓΑΙΟΣ ΚΑΙΣΑΡ runs in the field around the effigy. The flan is irregular and the relief worn, consistent with a provincially struck bronze issue. |
