| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Antoninus Pius facing right, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Bithynian civic coinage. The emperor's effigy displays a laureate wreath and visible drapery over the shoulder. The encircling Greek legend runs along the periphery of the flan. The portrait, though struck on an irregularly shaped flan, conveys the standard imperial iconography adopted by the mint of Nicaea during the Antonine period. |
