Reverse description Nude Heracles standing facing, head turned to the left, his right arm resting upon his grounded club for support and his left hand holding the Nemean lion skin draped over his forearm. To the right of the figure appears the civic symbol of Gaza, the mem character serving as the city's emblem. The composition follows the standard Heraclean type widely employed by Gazan civic coinage during the Antonine period, rendered in a compact provincial style.
