Reverse description A boar charges to the right, pierced by a diagonal spear descending from the upper field — a powerful emblem associated with the Calydonian boar hunt and with Ephesian civic iconography. The animal is depicted with compact, vigorous musculature in the abbreviated style characteristic of small provincial bronze issues. The reverse legend ΕΦΕϹΙΩΝ appears around the periphery, identifying the issuing city. A horizontal ground line is visible beneath the boar, and the overall composition, though worn, retains the essential elements of this well-attested Ephesian reverse type.
