Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Severus Alexander facing right, rendered in low relief in the provincial style. The emperor's youthful effigy is depicted with a laureate wreath and paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The surrounding legend runs clockwise around the bust within the coin's irregular flan. The portrait exhibits the characteristic simplified modeling typical of Moesian provincial bronze coinage of the early third century AD.
