| Obverse description | Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of the emperor Severus Alexander facing right, rendered in three-quarter view seen from the rear, a typical provincial die-cutting convention. The radiate crown, paludamentum, and cuirass are discernible despite heavy surface wear and encrustation consistent with this provincial bronze issue. The encircling Greek legend reads ΑΥΤ Κ Μ Α Ϲ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟϹ, identifying the emperor by his imperial titulature. |
