| Obverse description | Laureate, draped bust of Septimius Severus facing right, with the emperor's characteristic full beard and short-cropped hair. The effigy is rendered in the provincial style typical of the Pergamene conventus, with the laureate wreath clearly delineated around the head. A partial Greek legend runs along the periphery of the flan, identifying the emperor by his abbreviated titulature. The portrait, though somewhat worn, retains the recognizable physiognomy associated with Severan provincial coinage of Asia Minor. |
