Reverse description A rectangular, garlanded and lighted altar occupies the central field, depicted in a three-quarter perspective with flames or a flame-finial visible at the top. The altar is shown with decorative mouldings and appears to be adorned with festoons or garlands along its body, a common votive motif on Bithynian civic bronzes. The ethnic legend ΝΙΚΑΙΕΩΝ is distributed around the periphery of the reverse field. The design is set within a plain border, and the coin's irregular flan partially cuts the legend at the edges.
