Obverse description Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Caracalla facing right, seen from the rear, with the cuirass pauldron and drapery visible over the left shoulder. The emperor's portrait is rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Ionian civic coinage of the Severan period. The circular obverse legend surrounds the imperial effigy in Greek characters.
