Obverse description Bare bearded head of Heracles facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic tradition with characteristic heavy features and short beard. The legend ΟΠΛΟΦΥΛΑΖ (Hoplophylax, 'keeper of arms') runs in the field around the portrait, referencing a civic magistracy or title. The flan is irregular and the surface shows typical green patination consistent with prolonged burial. The die work reflects provincial Greek engraving style of the Antonine period.

Reverse description Nike, the goddess of victory, advancing to the left in full stride, her drapery rendered in flowing folds. She holds a wreath in her extended right hand and a long palm-branch in her left, both emblems of victory. The civic abbreviation ϹΜΥΡ (for Smyrna) appears in the field, identifying the issuing city. The figure is boldly rendered in the provincial Greek style characteristic of Ionian civic bronzes of the Antonine era. The flan edges are notably irregular, consistent with hand-hammered production.
