| Obverse description | Laureate and cuirassed bust of Emperor Macrinus facing right, depicted frontally from the chest upward, with paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The effigy presents the emperor in military attire consistent with provincial bronze coinage of the period. A Greek legend surrounds the bust along the periphery of the flan. The coin shows a broad, slightly irregular flan typical of hand-struck provincial issues from the Ephesian mint. |
