| Reverse description | A pendant bunch of grapes occupies the central field, rendered in low relief with individual berries visible, evoking the viticultural identity and Dionysiac associations of Nysa-on-the-Maeander. The civic legend ΝΥϹΑΕΩΝ curves around the periphery of the flan, identifying the issuing community. The design is characteristic of the autonomous-style civic types produced under Roman provincial authority in the mid-third century. The overall strike is weak and the flan slightly irregular, consistent with the small module of this emission. |
