Reverse description Standing female figure turned to the right, rendered in the conventional provincial style, apparently holding an indeterminate object above what appears to be a small altar. The figure is depicted in long garments with details obscured by wear and surface corrosion. The ethnic legend ΘΕΣΠΙΕΩΝ is disposed around the field, identifying the issuing city of Thespiae in Boeotia. The overall die work is of modest provincial quality, consistent with local Achaean bronze coinage of the Flavian era.
