| Obverse description | Laureate head of the emperor Septimius Severus facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Bithynian civic coinage. The portrait displays characteristic facial features of Severus, with a short beard, and is encircled by the Greek imperial titulature legend distributed around the periphery of the flan. The flan is irregular and the strike somewhat weak, as is common for small-denomination provincial bronzes of this period. |
