Obverse description Laureate head of Elagabalus (attributed), facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Mesopotamian civic coinage. The portrait is set within a dotted border, with the Imperial Greek legend partially visible around the periphery of the flan. The die work is characteristic of the Carrhae mint, with a slightly rough, irregular strike. The facial features are summarily rendered, consistent with the small module of this issue.

Reverse description Central device composed of a rosette formed by a cluster of dots, enclosed within a filleted crescent with horns pointing upward, all set within a dotted border on an irregular flan. The crescent symbol is a characteristic emblematic type of the Carrhae mint, referencing the city's long association with lunar deity Sin. The colonial legend is distributed around the central device in the field. The strike is typical of the small civic bronzes issued under Elagabalus at this eastern colonial mint.
